Located in west central Saskatchewan amid wheat fields,

cattle ranches, and oil wells - this quiet area enjoys sandy undulating hills

and slow streams, providing a peaceful home for plentiful wildlife.

Set along the route of the historic Fort Pitt to Carlton Trail,
Edam is a 15 minute drive from the banks of the North Saskatchewn River overlooking Pine Island,
which was home to several fur trading posts including Manchester House, operated by the Hudson's Bay Company commencing in 1784.

Follow the x-c ski signs north on highway 26 which lead you to the Fort Pitt Cairn on Horse Hill, local Historian Harry Washbrook's dedication to the Fort Pitt to Carlton Trail. The old wagon ruts are still visible to the south from the cairn, which is also the trail head for Edam Ski Club's 10 km of groomed and track set ski trail during winter months.
